BACKGROUND

We are all aware that diamonds are a girl’s best friend; however it is actually the sense of luxury, extravagance and exclusivity they convey that really persuades many to own and wear these precious gems. 

The name diamond is derived from the Greek word "adama” which means "invincible”. This is most likely due to the gem’s durability and incredible rigidity. Its hardness is rated a 10 on the Moh’s Scale of Hardness which is the highest value that can be granted. Perhaps this exceptional quality is what helped inspire DeBeer’s famous slogan "A Diamond is Forever” in addition to being one of the jewel’s most distinctive characteristics.

Diamonds, in general, have long been recognized as the ultimate gemstone, as many cultures all over have considered them to be the most precious of gems. The Greeks believed that diamonds were tears from the gods, while the Romans believed that they were splinters of fallen stars. However, colored diamonds have long been recognized as having a greater value than white diamonds. For example in India, colored diamonds were restricted to royalty alone due to their association with divinity. Today, intensely colored diamonds are still considered to be more valuable, than white diamonds of similar size and clarity.

FSS Diamond Extract PF consists of pulverized synthetic diamonds extracted in water. Thanks to modern manufacturing techniques, synthetic diamonds exhibit equal or superior characteristics than that of their natural counterparts such as hardness, conductivity, and surface luster. Now a days, due to their similarity, spectroscopic devices and techniques are required to differentiate a natural diamond from a synthetic one.

Storage: Protected from direct light and humidity at a temperature of 50°-77°F (10°-25°C) 

Shelf life: 12 months, properly stored, in sealed container. 

This product should be added to a formulation at the recommended usage rated.
