Oats have long been used to soothe irritated skin and promote softer, silkier hair. Hydrolysed proteins derived from oat are highly substantive to the skin and hair helping to form a rich, moisturising film. FSS Oat Hydrolysate OS is a reaction product of coconut fatty acids and hydrolyzed oat proteins; as such it is highly lipophilic material. This oil soluble hydrolysed protein can provide conditioning as well as moisturisation making it an ideal ingredient for intensive oil based conditioners or bath oils. As with other protein hydrolysates it can act to reduce the irritation of surfactants to help calm and provide comfort for sensitive skin.
